Apprenticeships

At Dementia Matters we now offer apprenticeships in Health and Social Care and Business Administration. These are both provided through Apprenticeship Providers and there are guaranteed careers once the apprentices have completed their qualifications.

The apprenticeships are for all those who wish to work, or who are working in a supervised role with adults in health and social care and business administration. Apprentices will be from different age groups, with differing backgrounds and experience. As there are no formal entry criteria, apprentices do not have to enter from previous qualification routes. As a guide, applicants may enter via a range of routes including from school or college, work, work experience, unemployment, etc.

We are currently offering the following apprenticeships:

SfC Care Certificate and the BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Care

LSfC Care Certificate and the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care

Business Administration Intermediate Apprenticeship Level 2

Business Administration Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3

We are delivering these apprenticeship in partnership with Northern Care Training

“Northern Care Training (NCT) has been awarded ‘Outstanding’ in every area of provision by Ofsted, the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills.

The training provider is the only care provider in the North East of England to have the highest possible grade in all the individual categories including quality of teaching, learning and assessment, personal development, behaviour and welfare, outcomes for learners, apprenticeship provision, leadership and management, and overall effectiveness.”

“The Health and Social Care apprenticeship standard covers care workers, personal assistants, domiciliary care workers, community support and outreach workers, supervisors, senior care workers in adult social care. It is suitable for those working in the NHS, with private health care or social care providers, local authorities and voluntary organisations.”
