We are recruiting for a Caretaker/Handy Man to join our busy team.

The role is part-time, 12-16 hours per week, with flexibility around working hours/days.

Our Caretaker/Handyman will be responsible for overseeing any repairs required in our Newcastle Day Service and Head Office based in Brunswick Village, though some travel to other locations and other properties throughout the region may be required. Our Caretaker/Handyman will be expected to liaise with external organisations to arrange site visits and specialist repairs. They will also be responsible for general repairs, such as checking emergency lighting systems, maintaining fire safety equipment etc.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations and requirements is desirable, as is experience of completing risk assessments and working in a care-related environment. The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role, be experienced in property maintenance and all relevant responsibilities.

For this role, it is essential that you are a car driver, with a vehicle available for work use.
